Giving Access and Transforming Lives

We partner with churches committed to serving under-resourced communities and giving elementary-aged youth access to summer camps, after-school programs, and sports leagues to develop strong bodies, minds, and spirits.

Many kids don't participate in sports and miss the benefits due to family situations, finances, and transportation. We help solve that problem.

We desire to serve youth and help them GEAR UP for success athletically, academically, and spiritually as they progress into middle school. We currently serve the West Inverness Area in Dundalk where there are over 1,500 elementary-aged youth with no local and affordable after-school programs, summer camps, and sports leagues.

Unique and Needed Solutions for a Big Problem

Proactively serve elementary school youth

Give access to over 10 different sports

Serve churches, youth/families, and schools

Combine athletic, personal/spiritual, and academic support

Serve churches and communities without resources to provide youth programming

We empower the community by intentionally hiring local staff

Flag Football Games for 5/4 are cancelled due to forecast!

April Update-Expansion and Preparing for Summer

Expansion and Sports

BSA is excited to announce they are helping New Song Community Church in West Baltimore City start a similar program. Kevin has helped their leaders with program design, job descriptions, budgeting and training. BSA will also help donate sports equipment, supplies, equipment, and curriculum for their start up.

We start our Flag Football Leagues in April and are starting our plans for summer camp.

Youth and Mom's Group

We started a youth group called " GEAR" where kids and further explore knowing God, through our Foundations Worldview Curriculum (check them out), designed to teach kids a Christian Worldview. Our recent lessons have focused on helping kids know the difference between feelings, truth, and falsehood and how to know the true source of truth, God.

We started a Mom's Group called "Elevate". It's a time for moms to get a break from a busy and stressful life and be encouraged, have others love on them, hear God's truths, worship, and have some fun. We provide dinner, share God's word, sing, inspiring messages, fellowship, and fun activities like self-defense class and more.

Peace Making and Tutoring

Each day in our after-school program, we have a Huddle Time focused on putting on the G.E.A.R which stands for God, Education, Attitude, and Relationships. Our focus this month has been conflict resolution. We use a curriculum called Young Peace Makers that provides practical lessons based on real life situations.

Small groups come twice a week and work on our online program called IXL.COM (check it out) and receive assessments and grade-level lessons on math and language arts.  Jessica, our Academic Coach is so creative. In addition to using the IXL program, she has done science and math projects making machines and ice-cream.

“I love this program, sure the sports are great, but my children get so much more for life” ------Parent.

Our Programs

We develop the whole athlete, body, mind and spirit.

" This program was sent from heaven; it is just what I needed to provide for my son; the sports are great, but the other lessons on school, character, confidence, and life are what sets them apart."

Mom of a 3rd-grade player

" So thankful BSA makes it possible for my son to play sports, but even better, they motivate him in school and to be a better person."
